Adoption Timeline

Dates:

  • June 7, 2013- We will finally hold her in Taiwan
  • May 28, 2013- We learn of our Final Ruling.  We are her parents!!!!
  • May 10, 2013- Our daughter turns Five years-old in Taiwan
  • May 8, 2013- Civil Ruling (first decree).  HUGE milestone
  • February 22, 2013- First Court Date!!!!!
  • December, 2012- Dossier is completed and logged into the courts.  I-600A revised
  • October 8, 2012- We receive THE CALL that we have been chosen by the birth father 
  • September 19, 2012- We are submitted to Taiwan as a prospective family for Y.T.
  • September 6, 2012 - We receive Gladney's Taiwan blog and see Y.T. listed as a "waiting child"
  • May 28, 2012 - Dossier reviewed/ Approved by private casa's committee
  • April 11, 2012 - Dossier shipped to Colombia
  • April 6, 2012 - CIS approval for Colombia adoption
  • March, 2012- We pull our dossier from Honduras, 8 months after it arrived in country
  • January, 2012 - IHNFA assigns new Director; adoption group will meet in February!  Hoping for waitlist number and/or referral
  • November, 2011 - IHNFA goes on strike
  • October 3, 2011- Dossier submitted to IHNFA
  • September 9, 2011- Update forwarded, waiting on re-authentication
  • August 25, 2011- translation complete, request for 3rd Psych report update
  • July 20, 2011- Dossier shipped to Honduras
  • July 15, 2011- Arrive at Honduran Consulate in Atlanta for final letter
  • July 11, 2011- CIS approval (after 78 day wait)
  • March 31, 2011- Home Study
  • March 16, 2011 – Gladney Packet Complete, Begin Dossier Paperwork
  • February 16, 2011 – Country Decision: Honduras
  • January 2, 2011 – Initial Gladney (adoption agency) Application
